Preparing the board…

On your turn, select a piece, then a destination square. When choosing the book’s reply, a piece explains its options and an arrow’s destination plays the reply. For a shared destination, select its piece first. Arrow keys move around the board; Enter or Space selects a square. Escape clears selection.

Changing side starts this line again.

Pick a line, choose a side, and make your moves on the board. The book plays forced replies. At a fork, arrows show the opponent’s options: select a piece for its plans, or a destination to play a reply. If two pieces share a destination, select the piece first. The numbered choices also appear in the reply list.

Learn shows the next move. Practice offers strategic hints. Recall hides your answers until you ask. Undo takes back your last decision and its reply; replay your move to choose a different reply. Changing sides starts this line again.

This is a curated opening study, not a full chess game. Your practice stays in this tab and resets when you reload.
